Bit by the entrepreneurial bug that is infesting Austin, business law attorneys Thomas Queen, Paul Saenz and Andrea Schutz have formed their own firm—Queen Saenz + Schutz—in the Texas capital.
The lawyers left Graves Dougherty Hearon & Moody in Austin, where they had been shareholders, on Jan. 31 and opened their boutique Feb. 1 to do corporate and business law, M&A, corporate finance and commercial and technology transactions.
“Austin is a very entrepreneurial town and we work with a lot of entrepreneurs and first-generation investment firms,” Queen said. “At some point we caught the entrepreneurial bug.”
Schutz said they can serve their clients better at a small firm because they will focus solely on business law and corporate transactions.
