Erik Weber
Attorney
Erik’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital investments, commercial transactions, and corporate governance matters. With his prior experience as a litigator, Erik also assists clients in spotting potential disputes before they arise and resolving matters outside of the courtroom.
Prior to joining QS+S, Erik practiced with Optimal Counsel LLP and Egan Nelson LLP, where he primarily represented startups, emerging companies, and investment firms in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, commercial transactions, and corporate governance. In a prior life, Erik worked as a litigator for Greenberg Traurig LLP, where he represented a broad range of plaintiffs and defendants in commercial disputes in state and federal courts across the United States, as well as in arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. His prior practice grants him a unique perspective in advising QS+S’s transactional clients regarding common pitfalls and negotiating often-litigated provisions. Erik received his JD with Honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 2015 and his bachelor’s degree with Highest Honors from the University of Texas in 2012.
Outside of his work for QS+S, Erik tries to give back through pro bono legal work for indigent clients, which has ranged from simple advice on landlord-tenant disputes to trials and appeals on probate and immigration matters, including oral argument before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, California. When not practicing law, Erik enjoys playing soccer and golf, hiking with his dog Milo, taking in the Austin live music scene, and spending time with friends and family.
